Dodgers: Josiah Gray Returns to Hometown to Discuss Rising Stardom in Minors (Dodgers Nation)


Josiah Gray was acquired by the Dodgers alongside Jeter Downs from the Cincinnati Reds in a deal that sent Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, and Alex Wood to Ohio. The deal was initially looked at as a salary dump with Homer Bailey heading to Los Angeles in the deal, but it became so much more. The Dodgers got Gray and Downs as middle-tier prospects, but they are now both emerging as top of the line names for the future of baseball in Los Angeles.

Josiah Gray got his start in Syracuse, New York with Le Moyne College and when he returned home, he gave some insight into his rising pro career. He was in upstate New York for an event with On My Team 16 called “The Climb” to assist pediatric cancer patients.
