WATCH: Dodgers Stories: 6 Decades in LA (Dodgers Nation)


In an effort spearheaded by Dodgers team historian Mark Langill, PBS is giving all Dodger fans a Thanksgiving treat! “Dodgers Stories: 6 Decades in LA” is a documentary that aims to tell the story of how the Dodgers arrived in LA and the impact the club has had on fans and players since.

We recently attended the premiere event at the LA public library and highlighted some of that time here.

Dodgers Stories: 6 Decades in LA takes 60+ years of story and packages it up in one fun 60 minute special for fans young and old.

As Dodger Insider magazine recalls:

The film covers the team’s move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and former LA councilmember Rosalind Wyman’s impact on bringing the team west. Dodgers Stories also highlights the Dodger greats, such as Sandy Koufax, the infield of Steve Garvey, Ron Cey, Davey Lopes, and Bill Russell, and the contributions of legendary managers Tommy Lasorda and Walter Alston.
