Recently, the Los Angeles Dodgers were reported to be rebuking teams on asking for prize youngster Gavin Lux. Therefore, the question becomes what do the Dodgers do moving forward with all the infielders they will have if no trade is made, and they sign an Anthony Rendon for the hot corner.
Now, recall this ‘log-jam’ scenario presented by Jon Heyman if the Dodgers were to sign said marquee third baseman.
Dodgers have rebuffed some teams that have called with interest in Gavin Lux. LA is said to like Anthony Rendon though it remains unclear how they’d clear room for him. Justin Turner has generously volunteered to switch position but Dodgers have Max Muncy at 1B and Lux at 2B.

Finally, consider the big bit of news this post is based upon. Notably on Tuesday, Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told Ken Gurnick of MLB.com that the team is considering Lux as an outfielder for the upcoming season.
Roberts suggested Gavin Lux could see some action in the outfield.
