Madison Bumgarner heading to Diamondbacks on $85 million deal (New York Post)

Madison Bumgarner is leaving San Francisco for a division rival — just not the one many thought.

Bumgarner, the career Giants lefty who won three World Series championships, is heading to the Diamondbacks on a five-year deal worth $85 million, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed.

The Angels and rival Dodgers — two teams that fell short in the Gerrit Cole sweepstakes — were also in the hunt for the 2014 World Series MVP.

After two injury riddled seasons, the 30-year-old lefty bounced back for a career-high 34 starts in which he went 9-9 with a 3.90 ERA.

Bumgarner spent 11 seasons in The Bay, and becomes the latest big-name hurler to change teams hours after Corey Kluber was dealt from the Indians to the Rangers.
