The quest for starting pitching continued for the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, as they signed 28-year-old right-hander Julio Teheran to a one-year, $9 million deal, which was first reported by ESPN‘s Jeff Passan.

Teheran will be pitching in a different uniform for the first time in his big-league career, having spent his first nine seasons with the Atlanta Braves. Teheran signed with the Braves when he was 16 and made his big-league debut in 2011 when he was 20. During his nine years in Atlanta, he compiled a 77-73 record with a 3.67 cumulative ERA.
