Dodgers Sign RHPs Justin De Fratus and Tyler Ferguson (Dodgers Nation)



The Dodgers have reportedly agreed to terms with right-handers Justin De Fratus and Tyler Ferguson on minor league deals, per Baseball America.

It is unclear at the moment if De Fratus and Ferguson received invitations to spring training, but there is a chance that they have. More minor league contracts should be agreed upon in the coming weeks as the Dodgers front office looks to fill holes and supply some depth.

De Fratus, 32, has been inside of the Dodgers organization since 2018. He has 194 innings at the major league level — none since 2015 with the Philadelphia Phillies — and holds a respectable 4.08 ERA. The 32-year-old reliever starter tossed 52 1/3 innings with the club in 2019, posting a poor 6.71 ERA and only striking out 7.05 batters per nine innings.

Fergsuon, 26, was a sixth round pick of the Texas Rangers in the 2015 MLB Draft. He did not throw a pitch in a minor league system in 2019 and has only registered 113 professional innings, all with Texas. He knows…
