The Dodgers have a good one in Gavin Lux. He is a terrific hitter, he can run a bit, and he can truly do it all. He has yet to show that at the major league level, but he seems like as safe of a bet as you can make to return some solid production over the course of his major league career.
His 2019 minor league season was one of the best in the league in recent memory and he showed the baseball world why scouts have loved him since he was drafted.
The Dodgers did not make the fatal mistake of dealing Gavin Lux for any player at a deadline in the off-season and it looks to likely pay dividends.
On the other hand, Jeter Downs has more than proven his value inside of the Dodgers organization. A piece that came over from the Cincinnati Reds in the Yasiel Puig trade, Downs put together an excellent 2019 campaign.
