Mookie Betts is finally getting traded — we think.
After hiccups in the originally proposed three-way trade between the Red Sox, Dodgers and Twins, a new deal sending Betts and David Price to the Dodgers has been agreed upon, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed. The Red Sox will get outfielder Alex Verdugo, shortstop Jeter Downs and catcher Connor Wong from Los Angeles.
Boston’s issues with Twins pitcher Brusdar Graterol’s medical records were holding up the original deal. Now, according to The Athletic, Graterol and another prospect will go to the Dodgers for Kenta Maeda and cash.
The Dodgers separately had a trade in place to send Joc Pederson to the Angels, which is expected to become official after the Betts deal, pending medical reviews.
Boston will send cash to Los Angeles to cover roughly half of the $96 million remaining on Price’s contract over the next three years, according to multiple reports.
