LOS ANGELES — On his first official day as a Dodger, Mookie Betts spread his arms and allowed his new manager to slip a pristine jersey over his shoulders. Beside Betts was David Price, a fellow former Red Sox, basking in the early afternoon sun at Dodger Stadium. As Betts and Price buttoned up their shirts, manager Dave Roberts took a step back and admired the sight.

“They look good in Dodger blue, don’t they?” Roberts said.
