There are more questions than answers surrounding Jed Lowrie.
Upon his arrival to Mets spring training on Sunday, Lowrie was sporting a large brace on his left leg after being limited to nine games last season because of knee and hip injuries.
Lowrie, 35, did take ground balls on Sunday but declined to discuss specifics regarding his health.
“This is just a brace that alleviates my symptoms and make me feel like myself,” Lowrie told reporters in Port St. Lucie.
Lowrie, who signed a two-year, $20 million contract before the 2019 season, wouldn’t say whether he’d be ready for Opening Day.
“It’s always kind of a fluid situation anyway,” Lowrie said. “I’m just gonna go out there and do everything that I can. As of now, we’re just building up with that intent.”
