The Mets bullpen already has its first injury of spring training, though they hope it’s only as small as the body part in question.
Seth Lugo has a small fracture in his left pinky toe, manager Luis Rojas said Tuesday. The reliever suffered the injury by hitting his toe against something in his hotel room Monday night and the Mets expect he will take three days off from throwing.
“No major concern,” Rojas said.
Lugo will be fitted for a padded cleat to help him with the injury as the left foot is the one he lands on in his delivery.
