Keith Law’s prospect rankings: Milwaukee Brewers (The Athletic)

The Brewers’ system is at the bottom of the majors now after multiple trades, a few notable misses in the draft, and, until the last two years, little to no production from their international scouting efforts.

1. Brice Turang, SS (Top 100 rank: No. 81)

From the Top 100: The Brewers’ first-round pick from 2018 came into pro ball with no-doubt defense at short but a fair number of questions about his offense, from his bat speed to his ability to make contact to whether he’d get to any power. The early returns from his first full pro season are promising, especially given the low offensive baseline for good defensive shortstops, as he posted a .367 OBP and walked nearly as often as he struck out between Low-Class A and High A as a 19-year-old.
