Dodgers News: Harper Talks Turning Down LA, Owners Remain An Obstacle, and More! (Dodgers Nation)

Reports surfaced over the course of this week that ownership had a deal in place to present to the player’s association. That announcement gave Dodgers fans plenty of hope that games were on the horizon, but we still might be quite a ways off.

As Jon Heyman reports, ownership might be the biggest obstacle in an attempt to get games going again, not the players. Ownership fears that they will lose more money playing games without cutting player’s salaries than if they did not play at all.

The most important part of the conversation between the union and MLB today focused on player’s health and safety regulations, not so much the financials. The Dodgers and other California teams face an uphill battle, but Heyman also reports Los Angeles being shut down through July is not seen as a problem by the league.
