After coming out of Tuesday night’s game in noticeable discomfort, left-handed pitcher Caleb Ferguson was officially placed on the injured list with a left elbow issue. In his place, righty Josh Sborz returns to the active roster after being optioned just days ago.
The Dodgers have recalled RHP Josh Sborz and have placed LHP Caleb Ferguson on the injured list with a left elbow injury. Additionally, RHP Joe Kelly has served his five-game suspension and will be activated for today’s game.

Notably, as already expected, the Dodgers made Joe Kelly’s return from a 5-game suspension official.
Ferguson underwent testing in San Diego last night after leaving last night’s game in the 8th inning with an apparent elbow issue. Moreover, results came back inconclusive. He traveled to Los Angeles today to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam where details were unavailable at the time of publishing.
Sborz is back with the Dodgers for the fourth time this season. In 3 appearances, he’s allowed 1 earned run in 3 innings pitched.
