Dodgers: Kiké Herandez Signs Multi-Year Deal With the Boston Red Sox (Dodgers Nation)



For some Dodgers fans around Los Angeles, today is a very sad day. Kiké Herandez has become a fan favorite around Chavez Ravine over the last few years, winning over the hearts of fans with his sparkling personality and humor. 

Unfortunately for those fans, Kiké will not be returning to the Dodgers. The free-agent super-utility man has reportedly signed a new deal with the Red Sox today that is for more than 1 year. The news comes just hours after it was reported that the 2 sides could have a deal done by this weekend. The exact numbers in the deal have not yet been revealed. 

Hernandez came to the Dodgers in a deal that sent  Dan Haren, Dee Gordon, Miguel Rojas, and cash to the Miami Marlins in 2014. He came up the following year with Los Angeles and became a big part of the roster for the remainder of his time there. Kiké spent 6 years in total with the team, providing the team with plenty of flexibility around the field as well as at the plate.
