NL West News: Padres Lose Star Fernando Tatis to Ugly Looking Shoulder Injury (Dodgers Nation)

If you’re a baseball fan, this is one of the last things you want to see. Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis, one of the best young superstars in the game, left Monday night’s game in San Francisco after injuring himself on the follow-through of a swing.

Here’s the full look, courtesy of NBC. Warning, while not gruesome, the reaction is absolutely unsettling.

Tatis inked a monster contract extension with the Padres in the offseason despite less than 150 career MLB games under his belt.

Continuing on with the injury, it was later revealed that he suffered a left shoulder subluxation –dislocated shoulder — on the swing.

Padres manager Jayce Tinger provided an update after the game.
