Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw Refused to Look at Pictures of the World Series Ring (Dodgers Nation)



There might not be anyone on the entire Dodgers roster more deserving of a World Series ring than Clayton Kershaw. As good as he has been throughout his entire career, Kersh has had to suffer through some heartbreaking postseason losses. He’s also been a guy that’s carried the franchise, especially in the early part of his career. 

Almost 13 years after he made his Major League debut, Clayton Kershaw got his ring. The Dodgers held a ceremony on Friday to hand them out to members of the 2020 team, and the crowd went absolutely nuts when his name was announced. 

As it turns out, that was the first time Clayton saw the ring. The Dodgers southpaw talked about how guys from the organization tried to show pictures before the ceremony, but Kershaw wanted to wait until it was on his hand to see it. 

They tried to show me a few times and I was like I don’t really want to see it until the actual day. There were some pictures circulating around, I did my best not to take a close look at it. I did see it from a distance but to get to see that thing it in person was just so special.
